On Friday February 26th, Vale of Glamorgan AM Jane Hutt welcomed the Barry branch of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) to the Senedd.
The RAFA promotes the welfare of all serving and former members of our Air Forces, their spouses and dependents together with the widows and widowers and dependents of those who died whilst serving or subsequently.
Jane invited Welfare Officer Geoff Horton and the Barry branch-the oldest branch in Wales- for tea and a tour of the Senedd. Whilst on their tour, the group learned more about the role of Ministers in the Welsh Government with the help of informative films in the Senedd-including a clip about Jane’s role as Finance Minister. Jane said:-
“I was delighted to welcome the Barry RAFA to the Senedd; the charity does an excellent job supporting the RAF family and it is extremely helpful to liaise with them regarding the needs of veterans.”
