On November 25th, the Mayor of Cardiff Council, Monica Walsh attended the ‘Light a Candle’ service to eliminate violence against women at Llandaff Cathedral with Jane Hutt AM, Leader of the House.  They shared memories of the first Women’s Aid refuge in Wales,  which Jane helped to set up.

The Vale Assembly Member said:

” Llandaff Cathedral was full on Friday 25th November, with moving statements about continuing violence against women across the world as well as here in Wales.

The Mayor of Cardiff and myself have positions of responsibility which we will continue to use to work towards the elimination of violence against women- not just on White Ribbon Day, but every day.”
