St. Helens School pupils win Police awards for Hate Crime Posters
South Wales Police Officers joined Jane Hutt AM at St. Helens School last week, to congratulate those pupils who won awards in a poster competition held in November during Hate Crime Week.
Two Year 6 pupils Christo Kodiyattu and Catalina Flores-Davies, won the awards with their posters which will now be displayed as banners outside the School in Ty Newydd Road, Barry. Jane Hutt said:
“It was a delight to present the awards with PC Dave Lawrence to Christo and Catalina with the whole Junior School attending the event. The standard of entry from pupils was very high- showing their understanding of the need to stop hate crime. I know their message on the banners will have a strong impact on passers-by.”
