I enjoyed this year Vale Show at Fonmon Castle – it’s an important opportunity to thank and celebrate the farming community in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Show is also an opportunity to listen to and learn from local farmers, so that we can support the farming community as effectively as possible during this uncertain time, so it was good to meet representatives of the NFU and FUW.
It was great to see so many local people taking part in the competitions, and lots of community groups and voluntary organisations were there too, including the Glamorgan Smallholders, Ramblers Cymru, Purple Shoots and Bro Radio. There were also stalls representing the thriving food and drink industry in the Vale of Glamorgan.
I'd like to congratulate the organisers of the Vale Show and everyone who took part. Once again it was a great day out and a wonderful way to celebrate and promote our farming communities in the Vale.
